What can we scan and how does it work?

We handle the digitising of standard sized photos, as well as negatives, slides, and entire albums, all done in house.
There's no need to sort or organise your collection beforehand. Whether your photos are in envelopes, shoeboxes, or even suitcases, we’ll scan them just as they are and return them in the same condition.
We also carefully digitise images directly from albums and old scrapbooks. We will even enhance and restore images that may need it to ensure they’re preserved at their best.
We are willing to try and scan anything for you!
  • Bulk scans (6x4's/5x7's) are scanned with auto colour correction to give the best images possible.

  • Photo albums/scrapbooks can be photographed overhead in full page format to capture precious handwriting and journaling OR as individual photos.

  • Most scans are done up to 1200dpi + for maximum detail. These can print up to 4 times the sizes of the original.

  • Additional photo restoration can be made on individual photos on request.

  • All scans are supplied on USB stick.

  • Images are provided in a .jpg file format. For easy use and sharing on all platforms and for printing. Albums can be supplied as a PDF file.

  • All groupings we receive are given their own folders, whether it is a photo envelope, an album, a slide box, or a collection you have arranged yourself. We scan everything in order and then number the photos accordingly the best we can. For example, if you give us an album labelled “Family Holiday 1992”, there will be a folder with that title, and each photo will be named “1992_1 Family Holiday”, “1992_2 Family Holiday”, and so on.

  • If someone has taken the time to write notes on your photos, we are happy to preserve that effort digitally. We can scan the backs of the photos and place an image of the handwriting next to the scanned photo.
